Acupuncture:
Get results without drugs, injections and surgery
Acupuncture is based on the concept that the body’s vital energy travels in a series of clearly defined paths, which traditional Chinese medicine calls meridians or channels. By stimulating meridian points that correspond to various organs and systems in the body, the body’s energy can be encouraged back into balance which allows the body to heal itself. Our office performs Acupuncture needling as well as a non-needle technique. The traditional needling technique used in our office includes using sterilized, single-use, disposable filiform needles which are disposed of immediately after each treatment.
Acupuncture is recognized by the National Institute of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO) to be effective in the treatment of:
| Headache Migraine Sciatica Low back pain Neck pain Neuropathy/Numbness Shoulder pain Knee/Foot pain Carpal tunnel syndrome |
Chronic Fatigue Arthritis Fibromyalgia Irritable Bowel Syndrome Constipation Diarrhea Facial palsy and much more... |

Q. Does acupuncture work?
A.Our clinic has experienced great success with Acupuncture
involving many conditions. We’ve been successful treating the
following conditions: fibromyalgia, back and neck pain, female issues
such as menstrual troubles and cramping, acute conditions, psoriasis, arthritis and more!
Q. How does acupuncture work?
A.Traditional Asian acupuncture is based on ancient Chinese theories
of flow of qi (a fine, essential substance which nourishes and
constructs the body) through distinct channels that cover the body
somewhat like the nerves and blood vessels. According to this theory,
Acupuncture adjusts the flow of qi in the body, leading it to areas
where it is insufficient and draining it from areas where it is stuck
or super-abundant.
Q. How many treatments will it take?
A.Our doctors evaluate each patient individually and make a
recommendation on a case by case basis. Our typical treatment plan
includes 12 visits over a few weeks time though we’ve seen results
after only one visit in some cases. Chronic or long term health issues
often take more time.
Q. Is acupuncture safe?
A.When performed by a competently trained, licensed professional,
Acupuncture is safe. All Acupuncture done in our clinic is done with
individually packaged, sterile, disposable needles or our electrical current unit which is completely painless as it does not
puncture the skin. This micro current treatment is also very fast,
with each point stimulated for approximately five seconds.
Q. Does it hurt?
A.Acupuncture needles are typically not much thicker than a human
hair, and their insertion is practically painless. Most people find
Acupuncture relaxing and many fall asleep during the treatment. Our
office uses both needle and non-needle treatment based on patient
preference and results.
